Travel Tuesday: Two Queens Inside A Princess

From the award-winning team that brought you Two Queens Riding A Princess comes the summer’s most anticipated sequel: Two Queens Inside A Princess.

This Princess welcomed us into her world during the heat of the Arizona summer.

Our sister moved to Scottsdale more than 30 years ago and we’ve always had the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess on our hotel bucket list. This past June, our dreams came true.

We received the luxe, VIP treatment as we explored the 65-acre resort, its six crystal clear pools, gorgeous Well & Being Spa, five bars and restaurants and thoughtfully appointed guestrooms.

Discover world-class shopping (both on-property and throughout Scottsdale), numerous golfing opportunities and a multitude of ways to get out in the otherworldly desert landscape (though we recommend waiting until the fall, winter and spring for those last two regional perks).

Our Deluxe View Room overlooked the pool and had tons of space. We toasted to our birthday on the balcony, lounged around until mid-morning under the sumptuous sheets and lingered in the oversized shower between trips to the spa’s many water-themed amenities.

We dined at Toro and couldn’t have been more pleased with the food or service. Ditto late-night cocktails at indoor/outdoor Plaza Bar.

Speaking of service, that’s the one feature that will lure us back to the Sonoran Desert for a repeat stay, this time where we can go full White Lotus and never leave the property. From the attentive front desk staff to thoughtful treats left in our room to celebrate our most recent journey around the sun, each person we encountered could not have been friendlier.

So, we bow and curtsy to this Princess and promise to be loyal ever after.
