Is there anything gayer than a Downtown Abbey fan?
Well, besides fans of The Gilded Age, of course.
An era comes to a dramatic and satisfying conclusion this weekend with the release of Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale exclusively in theaters.
We’d see it anywhere, but our preference will always be for Alamo Drafthouse movie experiences, especially one of the special events they plan, such as the Fancy Dress screenings where you can show up in your favorite “upstairs” or “downstairs” costume.
They even have exclusive Downton Abbey tea cups and saucers for purchase if you want to have a keepsake to enjoy with your pinkie out long after the final credits roll.
What will happen to Lady Mary?
Will sexy former chauffeur Tom Branson (pictured, above left) finally do a full-frontal scene running naked through the gardens?
And most importantly, will gay Thomas (pictured, above right) finally get a happy ending? (Either kind will do!)
Luckily, all these burning questions and many more will be answered to wrap up all the plot lines in nice, tidy bows. Very precise bows, tied by a butler and laid out a very specific distance from one another.
Because we’d expect nothing less.
