Travel Tuesday: Amsterdam It, Janet!

Come for the Red Light District, Van Gogh masterpieces and coffee-shop marijuana, stay for WorldPride 2026 – Unity.

Or vice versa.

Whatever your motivation for heading to Amsterdam in 2026 next summer, there’s never been a better time to visit.

The gorgeous, LGBTQ-friendly city known for its canals, 17th century architecture and delightfully liberal vibe hosts WorldPride for the first time ever,

Join thousands of like-minded individuals for the global queer event, which takes place from July 25 to August 8, which means you can still do all the US Pride Celebrations in June as practice.

It may sound far away, but tickets to many of the events, including the WorldPride Music Festival, are getting close to selling out.

The same will be true for hotels and vacation rentals as well as flights, so be an anti-procrastinator, start a shared spreadsheet with your travel buddies then get to making reservations and buying tickets.

WorldPride 2026 promises to be one of the most iconic yet.

And we sure as hell can’t wait to get the F out of the United States for a while.

Wonder if “Oops, my passport fell in the canal, I can’t leave!” will work as an excuse to stay indefinitely.
