Bidi Bidi Bom Bom, Lotsa Lotsa Pancakes

The politics in Arlington, Texas suck.

But that shouldn’t shock anyone who lives in this dreadfully conservative state of ours.

That means it’s up to us to support the queer communities in cities across Texas more than ever. And what better way to ensure we don’t fade into the shadows than being loud, proud and full of mimosas.

This Sunday, Flip Phone Events hosts a Selena + Jenni Rivera Drag Brunch at the Addison Improv.

Hits from both gone-too-soon Latina music legends will be performed by a cast of talented drag entertainers.

Tickets start at $25 for the 2:00 p.m. show (yippee for a late start time!), but if you wish to be guaranteed seats with your besties, book tables for two or four people. Preferred tables go for $75 (inclusive of taxes and fees), so for just a little more cash you can be closer to the stage and be surrounded by your closest friends.

A two-menu-item purchase is required per person and, as with any drag show, bring cash tips for the queens!

It’s a justifiable excuse to visit Arlington, but close enough to get back to the City of Dallas, where queer people still have protections against discrimination.

Even if it doesn’t come with a side of bacon.
