Meet Sully, a two-year-old Terrier mix with floppy ears, a shining brown coat and a smile that shows up before he even reaches you. At 67 pounds, he is a solid, happy presence with the kind of energy that makes people grin back without thinking about it.
Sully looks like he stepped straight out of a feel-good dog movie. His white-tipped toes look like he dipped them in fresh paint, and those floppy ears bounce with every enthusiastic step. But the real magic is his personality. Sully moves through the world with a joyful confidence that makes every outing feel a little more fun.
He recently headed out on a “Borrow a Buddy” adventure and proved himself to be an excellent travel companion. Sully explored Fair Park, strolled through Deep Ellum and finished the day people-watching at Klyde Warren Park. He took it all in stride, staying tuned in to his human while greeting the world with curiosity and charm.
Meeting new people is one of Sully’s favorite activities. His tail starts wagging so enthusiastically that sometimes the rest of him has trouble keeping up. It is pure joy in motion. He walks nicely on a leash until he spots a potential new friend. Then the grin gets wider, and the tail goes into overdrive.
At home, Sully strikes a nice balance. He is playful and ready for adventure, but just as happy hanging out while you move through your day. He enjoys being near his people and brings an easy, upbeat energy wherever he goes.
Sully is one of the SPCA of Texas Longtime Lovables, which means he has been waiting more than 60 days and his adoption fee is free.
You can meet him any day from noon to 6 p.m. at the SPCA of Texas Dallas Animal Care Center, 2400 Lone Star Drive, 75212. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations.
If you have been looking for a loyal sidekick who greets every day with enthusiasm and a wagging tail, Sully might be exactly who you have been waiting for.
