Some dogs feel like a coincidence. Others feel meant to be. Serendipity, or Sera if you’re on a first-name basis, falls firmly in the second category.
She’s a nearly four-year-old, 75-pound black-and-white beauty with a soft, fluffy coat and a calm presence that changes the energy of a room the moment she settles in. After raising a litter of puppies, Sera is finally getting her turn. No more sharing attention. This chapter is hers.
Serendipity is gentle, observant, and a little shy at first. She takes a moment to understand her surroundings and the people in them. But once she feels safe, her affection shows up in quiet, steady ways. She does not demand attention. She stays close, settles in, and makes her presence known in a way that feels easy and real.
She is also smart, potty trained, and crate trained, which makes her an easy addition to a home that values routine. While she is sweet with people, she really comes alive around other dogs. That is where her playful side shows up, and you see just how much joy she still has to give.
Right now, Serendipity is preparing for heartworm treatment, which is fully covered by the SPCA of Texas. What she needs in return is simple. A calm home, a little patience, and a safe place to rest while she heals. A backyard would be ideal, but more than anything, she needs consistency and care.
Because of her treatment, Serendipity’s adoption fee is free.
She has already given so much. Now she is ready to be the one who is cared for, chosen, and loved without having to share it.
You can meet Serendipity any day from noon to 6 p.m. at the SPCA of Texas Dallas Animal Care Center, 2400 Lone Star Drive, 75212. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations.
Some dogs find their people by chance. Serendipity feels like the one you were supposed to meet.
