Dallas Pride Names 2026 Grand Marshals

Dallas Pride has announced its 2026 Grand Marshals, highlighting two leaders whose work reflects this year’s theme, “Rainbows Don’t Wash Away.” The organization has selected Rev. Rachel Griffin-Allison and Dallas City Council Member Chad West to lead the city’s Pride celebrations, including the inaugural Sunset Parade in downtown Dallas this June.

Rev. Griffin-Allison serves as Senior Pastor at Oak Lawn United Methodist Church, a congregation widely recognized for its inclusive and justice-focused mission. With three decades of ministry experience, she has built a reputation for connecting faith with contemporary social issues, particularly around immigration, refugee support, and LGBTQ+ inclusion. Beyond Dallas, her work includes founding Safe Spaces Lebanon, a nonprofit supporting displaced families, and contributing to national conversations on faith and equity.

Council Member Chad West represents District 1, covering North Oak Cliff, and is currently serving his fourth term. Since his election, he has focused on policies that expand housing access, improve neighborhood walkability, and support long-term urban planning that reflects Dallas’ diversity. His advocacy has included attention to LGBTQ+ families and equitable development across the city.

This year’s Pride programming centers on both celebration and continuity, emphasizing the importance of sustaining progress in a shifting social and political landscape. The Festival of Rainbows will take place throughout the day on June 6 across several downtown parks, followed by the Sunset Parade along Main Street that evening. Organizers expect a full schedule of performances, local vendors, and community programming designed to reflect the range of identities within North Texas.

Dallas Pride continues to position its annual event as both a cultural gathering and a platform for visibility, advocacy, and connection within the region’s LGBTQ+ community.
