No Need To Shhhhhhh At This Library Event

Suck it, Governor Abbott! You and your conservative minions will just have to deal with this.

After successfully getting all of the rainbow crosswalks removed across Texas, the backward Texas legislature faces yet another setback in the name of equality and free speech.

Communities continue to find creative new ways to show Pride in the face of oppression disguised as public safety, from the steps at the Oak Lawn United Methodist Church to the multi-block rainbow sidewalks in San Antonio.

This Saturday, you can add the Oak Lawn Public Library to the growing list of rainbow makeovers. The front steps will officially debut with their new Progressive Pride Flag colors.

City officials will mark the moment with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and remarks.

Pop by at 10:30 a.m. to be part of the historic celebration, which includes a Pride Dance Party immediately following.

Pose for pics, and heck, maybe even go inside and check out a few books.

The world needs more readers.
