George has the face of a dog who has absolutely done something ridiculous and would like you to know he has no regrets.
At 3 years and 4 months old, this 56-pound mixed-breed gentleman is equal parts sweet, goofy and affectionate. He has a white-blonde coat, dark soulful eyes and the kind of expressive face that does most of the work before he even gets close enough to say hello.
George has never met a stranger. He loves people, toys and spending time with his friends, and his idea of a perfect day is refreshingly simple: some attention, something to play with and somebody nearby to keep him company.
He is currently looking for a Foster-to-Adopt family while the veterinary team at the SPCA of Texas works to determine what is causing some skin and ear allergies. His foster family will need to keep an eye on him and bring him back periodically for veterinary visits.
The good news: fostering through the SPCA of Texas is completely free. The SPCA provides George’s food, bowls, toys, medication and other supplies while he is in foster care.
George is also a Longtime Lovable, meaning he has been at the shelter for more than 60 days. When the time comes for adoption, his adoption fee will be free.
He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines. George is waiting at the SPCA of Texas Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center at 2400 Lone Star Drive in Dallas. You can meet him any day of the week from noon to 6 p.m.
