Rhapsody at Turtle Manor foregoes the usual gala format for an immersive musical experience evocative of the groundbreaking (now-closed) Sleep No More production in New York at the McKittrick Hotel.
On Saturday, September 26 at 6:00 p.m., begin your journey as you wander around the gorgeous Arts District Mansion. A different musical experience awaits in each room.
With your $300 general admission ticket, you’ll get a house key that gains you access to six different rooms and spaces. Come and go as you wish because there are no seats, and no wrong way to explore.
Find classical music in the Salon, jazz in the Solarium, R&B and soul in the Parlor, a capella in the Gardens, drag in the Great Hall and a finale performance in the Pavilion by the entire men’s chorus.
Enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres, small-plate food stations and cocktails for the duration.
Upgrade to the $600 VIP ticket, and you’ll be presented a coveted black key. This entitles you to duck into the Speakeasy inside a hidden room with a private bar. You’ll also get a primo vantage point to view the finale when all 250 men harmonize for your pleasure.
It promises to be the best time you’ve had in a mansion since that dream you had about Andrew Christian’s underwear model skinny dipping party.
