Let’s Get Serious For Just A Few Minutes. (Only A Few, Promise.)

If you’ve read even a few of the stupid sentences we’ve written over the past 19 years, you know we prefer to keep things light and silly.

Maybe with a dash of horny old goat thrown in for good measure.

Well, today, we’re putting our sass in the corner to keep it warm for Baby.

That’s because tomorrow night marks the 3rd Annual Suicide Prevention Vigil at Union Coffee from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Dallas Hope Charities and their Collective Hope Coalition present the event.

Speakers with a connection to suicide will be joined by spoken word poets, and you can get plenty of information for resources available at the event. The evening culminates with a beautiful candlelight ceremony and moment of silence for the people who’ve been lost to suicide.

There will also be a community remembrance table, where you can place photos and other mementos in honor of friends and loved ones.

Suicide is no laughing matter, but there will be moments of joy when people come together to celebrate the lives gone too soon.
