Seraphina has the eyeliner, the smile and the manners. Now she just needs someone to go home with.
This 2-year-old Malinois mix has beautiful brown eyes, adorable pointed ears and a tongue-out grin that makes it very difficult to maintain any sort of emotional distance. At 57 pounds, she is a substantial sweetheart with plenty of love to give.
And she has references. A family who recently borrowed Seraphina for a day described her as calm, perfectly well behaved and incredibly affectionate. She settled beautifully into their home, where a good brushing and plenty of belly rubs went over exactly as well as you would expect.
Treats are also very much her thing. She takes them gently from your hand because enthusiasm and good manners can, in fact, coexist.
Need a passenger? Seraphina may appreciate a little help getting into an SUV, but once she is aboard, she rides beautifully. She is equally happy joining you for an adventure, relaxing beside you in the shade or settling in for some quality cuddle time.
Mostly, this friendly, affectionate girl is ready to have a family of her own.
Seraphina is one of the SPCA of Texas’ Longtime Lovables, pets who have been in the shelter for more than 60 days. That means her adoption fee is free. More room in the budget for treats and the brush she will almost certainly expect you to use regularly.
Seraphina is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. Meet her at the SPCA of Texas Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center, 2400 Lone Star Drive in Dallas. The center is open every day from noon to 6 p.m.
